Former U.S. Food & Drug Administration [FDA] Commissioner Scott Gottlieb has been in The Wall Street Journal and on CNBC Squawk Box urging the federal government to leverage pharmacies to ramp up vaccine delivery.

The vaccine distribution system needs improvement. The best option may be to rely more on private industry. National pharmacy chains have an agreement with the federal government to provide vaccines to long-term care facilities. The government should expand this program to help vaccinate all Americans.
