VICE PRESIDENT, HEALTH PROGRAMS & ECONOMICS – Arlington, VA based national trade association seeks healthcare policy individual to join Health Policy & Legal Affairs department. Position will drive pharmacy/healthcare strategy for chain pharmacies to flourish as healthcare destinations. Position will conduct and lead industry economic and financial analysis of healthcare reform and other relevant policies that impact chain pharmacies. Review and interpret proposed and enacted federal/state legislation and regulation. Lead analyses of pharmacy/healthcare initiatives including value-based payment and delivery models, alternative payment models and future financial models. Participate in discussions/key industry meetings to facilitate and determine policy positions. Prepare and provide oral and written testimony, comments, talking points, issue briefs and other advocacy materials.

Minimum qualifications: Degree in health policy, public policy, economics preferred. Up to 10 years work experience in health economics or healthcare policy, research or advocacy. Proven knowledge of healthcare reform, health plans, innovative delivery models, federal programs, healthcare marketplace economics, drug price reform and transparency. Experience working with pharmacies. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; strong analytical skills. Ability to communicate complex issues to non-technical audience. Ability travel.

MEDIA RELATIONS DIRECTOR – Arlington, VA based trade association seeks a team player with strong relationship building and influencing talents to join Marketing, Communications & Media Relations department. Position will be responsible for developing, maintain and utilizing a modern media relations infrastructure to effectively convey message to target audiences. Position will develop, maintain and act on calendar of story lines that present opportunities to convey key messages based on current events. Foster relationships with key reporters and serve as first point of contact for media inquiries. Write press releases, op-eds and other content.  Create media events.  Manage NACDS’ community engagement. Lead media relations activities associated with meetings/conferences. DIRECTOR, ACCOUTING & FINANCIAL REPORTING:  Arlington, VA based national trade association seeks detail-oriented CPA to join its Finance & Accounting team.  Position is accountable for the effective daily operations and results of the accounting function including cash receipts and disbursements, accounts receivable, month-end closing, financial statement preparation and reporting, year-end closing, budget preparation, subsidiary entity accounting, audit coordination and assisting with tax and information returns. Position has supervisory responsibilities. Individual will assist in the search, selection and implementation of new accounting software system.

Position requires substantive knowledge of GAAP with technical skills in forecasting, financial planning and strategy, dealing with complex financial matters, understanding and managing processes, reporting research results.
