Rep. Ben Luján’s (NM-03) constituent liaison toured the Lovelace Pharmacy in Sante Fe, N.M., on June 25.  Luján is a member of the House Energy & Commerce Committee.

The pharmacy team discussed the importance of provider status legislation (H.R. 4190), citing the singular need for it, especially in rural New Mexico where access to healthcare is limited. The team also educated the legislative staff member on the preventive care services like immunizations, and how medication therapy management for patients with chronic care conditions like diabetes improves patient outcomes.
