House Democratic Minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D-MD) meets with members of the NACDS Board of Directors during last week’s NACDS RxIMPACT Day on Capitol Hill event in Washington, D.C.
A day of advocacy–NACDS RxIMPACT Day on Capitol Hill–leads to ongoing engagement. During the event last week, pharmacy advocates met with every member of Congress who serves on a congressional healthcare committee, and with every member of Congress who was newly elected in November 2014. In total, the event facilitated more than 460 congressional meetings on vital pro-patient and pro-pharmacy issues, which equates to meetings with more than 85 percent of the U.S. Congress.
