Arlington, Va. – World-renowned presidential historian, public speaker and Pulitzer Prize-winning author Doris Kearns Goodwin will share her highly captivating and widely applicable leadership insights with attendees at the 2019 National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS) Annual Meeting in Palm Beach, Fla.

  • Goodwin will speak at the NACDS Annual Meeting Business Program on Sunday, April 28.
  • Goodwin will be able to share first-hand the take-aways from Leadership in Turbulent Times. Published in September 2018, this book – her seventh – presents a road map for aspiring and established leaders, based on her five decades of studying U.S. Presidents.
  • Among her other works that have led to acclaim and popularity is the book Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln, which served as the basis for Steven Spielberg’s film Lincoln.
  • Goodwin has contributed insights on other topics of national interest – including baseball. She appeared in Ken Burns’ documentary The History of Baseball, and in 1979 she was the first woman to enter the Boston Red Sox locker room.
