Senior Political Columnist of National Journal Ron Fournier, an award-winning journalist, will speak at the Welcome Dinner on March 16 and provide insight on the presidential election cycle, and will likely shed some much-needed perspective on the campaign.  Fournier recently wrote, “…politics and government are finally starting to experience the disruption experienced by almost every other social institution, transforming how people work, shop, play and even raise their kids in the post-Internet era.”

House Ways and Means Subcommittee member Rep. Ron Kind (D-WI) will receive NACDS Congressional Leadership Award at the event’s breakfast briefing on March 17, where he will speak to participants about the value of pharmacy.

In a presidential election year there will also be a strong focus on the get-out-the-vote initiative NACDS RxIMPACT Votes, an excellent nonpartisan online resource on how to  register to vote, volunteer for campaigns and vote on Election Day. NACDS RxIMPACT Votes is a great way to energize the pharmacy community and make a difference on Election Day. Remember to use #PharmacyVoter on social media to show your support.
