Rep. Dave Trott (R-MI), on an NACDS RxIMPACT pharmacy tour of a Rite Aid in Plymouth, Mich., told the pharmacy team it was his first time behind a pharmacy counter.

The Rite Aid pharmacy team at a Rite Aid in Plymouth, Mich., said they were “thrilled” to have newly-elected Rep. Dave Trott (R-MI) tour their store on May 7. The congressman said it was his first time behind a pharmacy counter, and the team said he seemed impressed to learn about the critical role pharmacists play in improving the health outcomes of his constituents. The team explained the significance of medication therapy management services they provide and asked the representative to support H.R. 592, the Pharmacy and Medically Underserved Areas Enhancement Act, which would elevate pharmacists’ ability to improve patient health.
