Less than one week from today—March 25–26—more than 350 advocates from across the nation will convene in Washington, D.C., to put pharmacy legislative priorities in perspective for Congress at the seventh annual NACDS RxIMPACT Day on Capitol Hill.

Participants will give legislators and their staff members first-hand accounts of the importance of issues like pharmacist provider status legislation, and maintaining patients’ access to pharmacies through programs including Medicaid, Medicare and TRICARE.

Drug Store News prepared a special edition for participants to take on their congressional visits outlining the integral role pharmacists play in healthcare delivery across the country. NACDS has also placed an ad in Politico, which will run next Thursday when advocates head to Capitol Hill. In addition, the Patient Access to Pharmacists’ Care Coalition—of which NACDS is a member—will launch advertising to support the provider status legislation.
