On Thursday, February 4, 2016, NACDS accepted its Platinum Level Champion award from The Arlington Transportation Partners for “its commitment to active and sustainable transportation initiatives, by encouraging employees to use various modes of transit.”
NACDS was one of only 34 employers in Arlington County, Va. to achieve this level. This award was first announced in September, at which time NACDS also was named one of the nation’s “Best Workplaces for Commuters” by the National Center for Transit Research of the University of South Florida and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency – bestowed on only 2,000 workplaces nationwide. When the awards were announced, NACDS commented, “NACDS commuter initiatives make our staff team more productive and effective as we continue to provide stellar services to our member companies.”
