Pharmacy’s Value Highlighted at U.S. Senate Health Fair
For the sixth straight year, NACDS is participating in the annual U.S. Senate Health Fair, October 15 and 16, at the U.S. Senate Hart building on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. The health fair offers thousands of Senate employees an opportunity to receive healthcare advice and care, highlighting the essential role community pharmacy plays in the healthcare delivery system.
NACDS is coordinating an exhibit at the health fair to demonstrate the importance of the pharmacist-patient relationship and the valuable role that pharmacy plays in helping patients take their medication properly and in providing patients other important health services. NACDS member company pharmacists will also be onsite providing flu vaccines and health screenings. By noon on the first day of the health fair, 50 people had already visited NACDS’ booth.
