NACDS is going all-out for pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) reform in the federal and state governments.

At the federal level, NACDS is making it unmistakable: PBM reform is must-pass legislation in the 118th Congress. See NACDS’ major new cable TV and digital advertising campaign urging comprehensive PBM and Congressional action — without delay.

At the state level, NACDS is collaborating with in-state partners to urge the enactment of PBM reform laws – as well as their implementation, enforcement, and oversight.

Massachusetts is among the current hotbeds of activity.

State Spotlight: Pushing PBM Reform in Massachusetts

On June 26, 2024, NACDS participated in a “Patients Not PBMs” Coalition media event in Boston to urge the enactment of needed PBM reforms in the state.

Former Massachusetts Governor Jane Swift (D) – who has been an advocate for PBM reform – spoke at the June 26 media event

Pharmacists from Big Y were among the representatives from NACDS member companies who traveled to the media event to demonstrate the urgency for reforms
