Beginning July 1, 2026, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will launch the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge Program, a temporary demonstration designed to provide eligible Medicare Part D beneficiaries with access to certain GLP-1 medications through December 31, 2027.

The program will operate separately from the Medicare Part D benefit and will be administered directly by CMS through a centralized processor. CMS has indicated that participating pharmacies will play an important role in supporting beneficiary access to medications furnished through the program.

As implementation approaches, CMS has announced that it will hold an informational pharmacy webinar on the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge program where additional background information will be shared. The webinar will be held on Thursday, June 11th, 2026, from 12:00-1:00 p.m. ET.

Please note: This event will be closed to the public and press.
