On Tuesday, the NACDS RxIMPACT grassroots program sent to advocates an “Action Alert,” asking them to urge Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon (D) to sign a pivotal bill that would expand pharmacists’ immunization authority.

The bill, SB 808, would allow pharmacists to administer immunizations against Hepatitis A and B, tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis by written protocol authorized by a physician for persons age 12 and older. If you are a pharmacist or have operations in Missouri, it is critical you tell Gov. Nixon to sign the bill into law!

NACDS member companies operating in Missouri are encouraged to take action today.
