<p>NACDS’ frequent collaborator, the U.S. Pain Foundation, <a href="http://www.prlog.org/12329237-us-pain-foundations-gileno-honored-with-grunenthal-usa-unsung-hero-award.html">announced</a> last week that its President and Founder Paul Gileno was recently awarded the Unsung Hero Award by <a href="http://www.grunenthal-usa.com/grt-web/136700138.jsp">Grünenthal USA</a>. </p>
<p>Gileno, the first recipient of the award, was recognized for his “exceptional work in pain policy initiatives, as well as his significant contributions to advance the social awareness of pain and suffering.” Gileno was also praised for striving to empower people living with pain to become proactive and find support.</p>
<p>NACDS congratulates Gileno and applauds his commitment to a shared priority of supporting legislation aimed at developing viable strategies that will simultaneously advance patient health and prevent prescription drug abuse.</p>
