Since NACDS RxIMPACT launched in 2009, the grassroots advocacy community has increased its ability to advance pro-pharmacy priorities to the nation’s lawmakers significantly. In order to keep pharmacy issues top-of-mind for legislators, amid an increasingly crowded field of advocates representing a broad array of issues, NACDS RxIMPACT is pushing the envelope beyond only engagement to create even stronger advocate-policymaker relationships to secure legislative victories.
You—and members of your pharmacy team—are positioned to build these relationships across the United States, making pharmacy an even more powerful force than it is today. To help you and your pharmacy team reach excellence in this capacity, NACDS has created an executive training program to become a self-sufficient and opportunity-generating advocate: NACDS RxIMPACT Key Contact PLUS—a cut above the rest!
NACDS is pleased to announce the development of a four-webinar leadership training series to show pharmacy executives how to effectively build quality relationships with elected officials. NACDS staff and Washington, D.C. experts will reveal how to:
- Build relationships with policymakers and the right congressional staffers
- Generate impactful opportunities to connect with policymakers
- Multiply relationship quality through political events and campaign engagement
- Advance your value to officials through supportive op-eds, social media and other vehicles
- Develop and execute a plan of activities to establish a stronger relationship with an elected official
After each webinar, participating advocates will receive an activity challenge to complete. Throughout the series, advocates will be mentored by NACDS staff. At the conclusion of the series, advocates will be awarded the blue NACDS RxIMPACT Key Contact PLUS lapel pin for completing the leadership development series.
