NACDS and the Georgia Retail Association capped two days of legislative visits in Atlanta with a meeting with Governor Nathan Deal (R). Pharmacy and retail members were able to discuss issues surrounding Medicaid, prescription drug monitoring program funding, opioid abuse, plastic bag preemptions and back-to-school sales tax holidays. The group also met with House Minority Leader Stacey Abrams and House Majority Leader Jon Burns.
