NACDS’ Kevin Nicholson spoke on Tuesday at the annual meeting of the Generic Pharmaceutical Association (GPhA) in Orlando, Fla., about biosimilars during a plenary session at the meeting. Nicholson highlighted the need for shared non-proprietary names among interchangeable biosimilars; concerns about state legislation that hinders pharmacist substitution of interchangeable biosimilars; and concerns with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ reimbursement policies for biosimilars under Medicare Part B.
