Arlington, Va. – Today the National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS) Foundation announced the promotion of Sara Roszak to director of research programs. Roszak will report directly to NACDS Foundation President Kathleen Jaeger in her new capacity.

Sara has demonstrated leadership in developing innovative research initiatives and securing grant funding. That experience will be invaluable as she moves over to the Foundation and helps to position it as a leader in advancing patient health through medication management and collaborative care.

Roszak, who joined NACDS in November 2014, currently works in the Pharmacy Care and Patient Advocacy department for the trade association.

“We’re pleased to welcome Sara into this new role with the NACDS Foundation,” said NACDS Foundation President Kathleen Jaeger. “Sara has demonstrated leadership in developing innovative research initiatives and securing grant funding. That experience will be invaluable as she moves over to the Foundation and helps to position it as a leader in advancing patient health through medication management and collaborative care.”

In her new position, Roszak will help drive the expansion of the Foundation’s research portfolio. Specifically, she will work with the Foundation’s Research Advisory Working Group to help identify research concepts and priorities, as well as assist with the development and management of research requests for proposals (RFPs) and grant research projects.

Last night, the American Public Health Association recognized Roszak for her contribution to the advancement of public health by awarding her with the prestigious Jay S. Drotman Memorial Award for young professionals. The award recognizes a health worker or student, age 30 or younger, who has demonstrated potential in the health field by challenging traditional public health or practice in a creative and positive way.

Roszak received a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism and a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of Florida.  She completed a dual masters program in international affairs and public health at the George Washington University.
