NACDS partnered with the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) and the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) to create a tip sheet for obstetricians and gynecologists to implement an immunization referral system with other healthcare stakeholders, including pharmacies.
Obstetrician-gynecologists and pharmacists, including NACDS member companies, were actively engaged in the development of the tip sheet, which provides relevant information to enhance healthcare stakeholder collaboration and increase national immunization rates. Immunization referral is an important step in continued and expanded pharmacy-physician practice collaborations.
