NACDS Annual Meeting speaker, former Governor Haley Barbour, remains prominent in the headlines as he continues to impart timely insight and an elder statesman’s wisdom on the importance of compromise in politics.

In an article on the Republican Leadership Conference in New Orleans last week, The Washington Post quoted Barbour as saying, “Never forget that the purpose of winning is to govern.”

Barbour delivered similarly sagacious remarks during his keynote address on healthcare reform at the NACDS Annual Meeting in April. He pointed out that patients rely on pharmacists for a wide array of services beyond pharmaceuticals and, increasingly, he said, they look for accessible “healthcare options at member organizations of NACDS.”
