Denver, Colo. – In conjunction with IMS Health, the NACDS Foundation recognized two industry leaders with the IMS Health Bernie Greenberg Pharmacy Partnership Award.  The award recipients were honored during an Insight Session, presented by IMS Health’s Doug Long, during today’s NACDS Total Store Expo.

We are grateful for this generous scholarship donation from IMS Health in recognition of the leadership and industry commitment by Darren Townzen and John Luebker.

Darren Townzen, director of health and wellness billing, reconciliation, and healthcare data strategy for Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., and John Luebker, senior director of third party contracting and pricing for Sam’s Club, a division of Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., were recognized with a $10,000 scholarship donated in their names by IMS Health to the NACDS Foundation.

IMS Health, a leading global information and technology services company, annually recognizes an industry leader who exemplifies the meaning of true partnership with the IMS Health Bernie Greenberg Pharmacy Partnership Award.   Like the award’s namesake, this recognition acknowledges individuals who espouse the qualities of leadership, commitment to collaboration and giving back to their companies and communities.

“This year, IMS Health selected two individuals who equally champion the use of information in driving business results and improving healthcare. Darren and John exemplify the ideals and leadership exhibited by Bernie Greenberg and we are honored to extend this recognition to them,” said Bob Wahl, vice president, global supplier services, IMS Health.

“We are grateful for this generous scholarship donation from IMS Health in recognition of the leadership and industry commitment by Darren Townzen and John Luebker.  This donation will help further advance patient care and pharmacy education by supporting the next generation of leaders in pharmacy patient care,” said NACDS Foundation President Kathleen Jaeger.
