NACDS attended the annual Influenza Vaccination Kick-Off news conference sponsored by the National Foundation for Infectious Diseases (NFID) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) today.
Secretary of Health and Human Services Tom Price, M.D. joined a panel of medical and public health experts to discuss the importance of annual influenza prevention for the upcoming flu season and got a flu shot. Representatives from other public health and medical organizations attended, including the American Academy of Family Physicians, American Academy of Pediatrics, American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, American Nurses Association and Families Fighting Flu.
