House Energy & Commerce Committee Vice Chairman Rep. Joe Barton (R-TX) toured an Albertson’s pharmacy in Arlington, Tex., as part of the NACDS RxIMPACT grassroots advocacy program. The pharmacy team thanked the representative for supporting provider status legislation and discussed NACDS-backed policy recommendations on combating the opioid abuse crisis, DIR fee reform and the services the pharmacy team provides every day to his constituents. There have been 66 NACDS RxIMPACT in-district activities in 2018—to date. Forty-three percent of those activities were directly with members of Congress, nearly double the percentage in 2017.
