Rep. Doug Collins (R-GA) got a chance to see the contribution pharmacy makes in improving patient outcomes by participating in an NACDS RxIMPACT pharmacy tour at a Hartwell, Ga., Ingles Pharmacy last week.

Legislators and their staff members often come away from NACDS RxIMPACT pharmacy tours with knowledge about pharmacies they didn’t have before. Fact sheets and talking points provide great information, but nothing resonates like a story—told firsthand—by a pharmacist who is an integral part of providing accessible healthcare options to patients, which helps improve patients’ health and quality of life.

Each pharmacy tour lets Congress know why supporting NACDS-backed, bipartisan legislation is essential to improving patient outcomes and reducing overall healthcare costs.
