Arlington, Va. – Attendees at the 20th Annual National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS) Foundation Dinner will have an opportunity to mark the Foundation’s progress, to celebrate collaboration, and to experience the award-winning and nationally recognized brilliance of entertainer Colin Jost. The event will be held November 28, 2018, at the Sheraton New York Times Square in New York City.

NACDS Foundation President Kathleen Jaeger said, “We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to thank our benefactors for their generous support for the Foundation’s research agenda. At our event you can feel the spirit of collaboration that is so important to our work and to advancing patient health. This year, we look forward to hearing from Colin Jost, who is sure to add a wonderful burst of humor and energy to the evening.”

Perhaps best known as the head writer and “Weekend Update” co-anchor for Saturday Night Live, Jost’s prominence and talent also were on display in September 2018, when he and fellow entertainer Michael Che co-hosted the 2018 Emmy Awards. In his own right, Jost has been nominated for nine Emmy awards. He has earned three Writers Guild awards and a Peabody Award – which recognize achievement in writing and in story-telling, respectively, across diverse media platforms.

In March 2014, Jost took over for Seth Meyers as co-anchor of Saturday Night Live’s “Weekend Update.” Jost has performed on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, John Oliver’s New York Stand Up Show, and the Just for Laughs Comedy Festivals in Montreal and Chicago. He writes for The New Yorker, The New York Times Magazine, Huffington Post, Staten Island Advance and Radar. At Harvard University, he was president of the Harvard Lampoon. He also wrote and produced the film Staten Island Summer, starring Kate Walsh and Ashley Greene, about his days as a lifeguard growing up on Staten Island.

The NACDS Foundation funds evidence-based research, educational programs and philanthropic initiatives designed to improve patient outcomes and advance public health. Also, the NACDS Foundation Scholarship Program provides grants to schools and colleges of pharmacy for innovative educational programs.
