NACDS Elective Rotation In Association Management

COORDINATOR,
Business Development and Exhibit Sales

Arlington, VA based trade association seeks self-motivated, detailed-oriented team player. Under direction, position responsible for development of new business and exhibit sales; assists with development/implementation of sales plan; maintains and manages database of prospective and current exhibitors. Assist with exhibit logistics for trade shows/conferences including planning, marketing, registration, on-site set-up and execution, and post conference responsibilities. Provides administrative and program support to Business Development/Exhibits team.

Minimum Qualifications:

Up to 3 years sales experience, preferably in the conference/trade show industry. Microsoft Office with data entry proficiency, prior Salesforce of comparable CRM experience a plus. Strong written/verbal communications skills. Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. Ability to build relationships with members. Ability to travel.

DIRECTOR,
Media Relations

Seeking a team player with strong relationship building and influencing talents to join Marketing, Communications & Media Relations department. Position will be responsible for developing, maintain and utilizing a modern media relations infrastructure to effectively convey message to target audiences. Write press releases, op-eds and other content. Serve as point of contact for media inquiries. Develop and execute marketing plans. Lead media relations activities associated with meetings/conferences. Provides program support.

Minimum Qualifications:

Ability to think strategically. Ability to create compelling content/messages. Familiarity with variety of research protocols. Proven record of earned media coverage. Strong working knowledge of the media. Excellent written/verbal communications skills. Ability to meet deadlines. Up to 7 years experience in media relations within association, corporation, agency or government preferred. Microsoft Office proficiency.

Network Administrator

National trade association based in Arlington, VA representing the chain pharmacy industry seeks a Windows network administrator to join Information Technology staff team supporting 75 users. Administrator has day-to-day responsibility for association’s data, voice, network, applications, virtual server and security infrastructure. Position is responsible to maintain/modify network systems, components and applications over multiple subnets – Microsoft Office 365/Azure, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange Server, SharePoint, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft IIS, Microsoft File Services, Microsoft Hyper-V and back-up systems. Administrator manages and maintains Cisco firewalls, routers, switches, phone/UC/voicemail systems, wireless controllers and access points. Position monitors and resolves any server and network activity and performance issues. Provides comprehensive technical support to users.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicant must have five years experience with computer systems including local and wide area network administration, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, Windows Server, Office 365/Azure, MS SQL administration and Windows desktop operating systems. Must have experience configuring firewalls, routers and switches. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Microcomputer or Networks is preferred. Applicant must be a Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA). Applicant must have excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
