NACDS Elective Rotation in Association Management – NACDS offers an exciting opportunity for pharmacy students to enhance their understanding of community pharmacy practice and the issues impacting the chain drug industry through an elective rotation in association management. The Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) rotation student will be able to see firsthand the day-to-day operations of a national pharmacy association. This opportunity will give the student the ability to develop their written and verbal communication skills, participate in events to promote the profession of pharmacy, and enhance pharmacy’s role in new and innovative patient-centered care models. In addition, the student also may have the opportunity to work with the association’s related charitable Foundation on patient-focused research projects.
